Spring time is here

The horses and I are so happy Spring is here. Well, on Sunday the temperatures got up to 30 degrees Celsius which is more like Summer than Spring temperatures. Teddy (paint) and I are having a lot of fun together. He loves to be my number one horse. I have had a hard time in the winter with him because he gets grouchy and spooky. I tend to work with him less which then contributes to his grouchiness. This winter I gave the horses magnesium. An osteopath once told me we are all deficient in magnesium because the soils are depleted. I noticed a big change in Teddy's mood. He was much more calm and easier to work with. Toby (chestnut) is healing well from his injury too. He is not rideable yet but in the meantime Teddy and I will continue having fun in the cross country field. Oh, and Toby turned 7 today. Happy birthday buddy!
