Teddy and I participated in a local horse show on the week-end. I am so proud of him! Even just a few months ago he couldn't sustain cantering a 20 meter circle because he was unbalanced. Now he is has lost weight, is stronger and is really tuned into me. He is willing and trusting, too. All the training we have done together over the last 3 years is showing. We did 2 training level dressage tests, 3 hunter jumping rounds and 1 show jumping round. We did very well in the hunter ring. Here is a photo of our First Place round jumping at 2' 3". I am also very pleased that I challenged myself by competing in a stadium jumping round, jumping 2' 3". The name of the game is to get around the course as fast as possible without knocking any rails down. I found it very challenging to memorize a course of 12 jumps in 5 minutes. I missed a jump and had to take a circle so I lost time. But now I am determined to get it right next time. Thanks to Korynn Weber for taking great action photos.
